Hailed almost unanimously by designers as the “most famous chair of the century,” the Eames LCW or Lounge Chair Wood combines military technology with simple elegance. Design duo Charles and Ray Eames developed the first plywood chair – moulding thin layers of lightweight veneer into gently curved shapes that fit the contour of the body. Today the revolutionary design is as current as it was when it debuted in 1946. To film the making of these iconic chairs BRANDMADE.TV visited multiple production facilities in and around Grand Rapids, Michigan.
